Max Tech joined First State Bank as a Commercial Lender in 2023. He began his banking career in 2016, with an emphasis on credit analysis and portfolio management. He has spent the entirety of his career in Metro Detroit, primarily based in Troy and Birmingham.

His business philosophy revolves around ensuring that he always puts in the extra effort, which completely changes a customer’s interaction with him—whether by attending extra social events, offering advice unrelated to banking services, or something as simple as wishing a close customer happy birthday. He enjoys meeting new customers and hearing their stories, as with each one he hears, he learns more about what goes into making a good business tick.

He learned early in his retail banking career that everyone loses if a customer is put into a product or service they don’t need. Even if they use the product or service for a while, eventually they leave, as they did not receive the experience they deserved and do not turn into lifelong customers. He believes in always seeking to provide only the best service by getting to know customers with a personal and professional touch—creating happy clients who are glad to return in the future.

Max earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Albion College. He resides in Royal Oak and enjoys traveling and visiting friends around the country. During the summer, he enjoys road biking and fishing. In winter, he skis on the weekends. He also enjoys volunteering with the Salvation Army as a bell ringer each holiday season.
