CLAIR SHORES, MI, July 14, 2023 — First State Bank proudly served as the presenting sponsor of the highly anticipated 2nd Annual Youth Field Day and Football Camp alongside Macomb County native and professional football player, Mike Danna, on June 17, 2023. The event, held at De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren, was a resounding success, bringing together the local community for a day filled with excitement and athletic camaraderie.
The action-packed event featured an array of engaging activities such as mini games, football drills, and challenging obstacle courses that kept the participants on their toes. One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for campers to gather and listen to Mike Danna, a Super Bowl Champion defensive end entering his fourth NFL season, as he shared his remarkable journey to the NFL and the invaluable life lessons he has gained through his experiences on the football field. Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Mike Danna initially made waves as a standout player at De La Salle Collegiate High School before continuing his athletic career at Central Michigan University and the University of Michigan.
Mike Danna expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, "I want to make an impact on the community, use my spotlight to bring positivity to people in Detroit and Metro Detroit. The Community Field Day is important because of the engagement you have with parents, friends, and kids. You can inspire somebody and change their day." His commitment to giving back to the community through events like the Community Field Day serves as a testament to his dedication to inspiring the younger generation to pursue their dreams.
