First State Bank Seeks Community Engagement in Harvest-Fest Neighborhood Food Drive!

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI, October 3rd, 2024 – One of Macomb County’s most beloved fall traditions, Harvest Fest, is back! First State Bank is proud to sponsor an event that brings their community together every year. In the spirit of unity and to further their community outreach, First State Bank will host a neighborhood food drive at all branch locations from October 1 through October 18, 2024. All collected cans and non-perishable goods will be donated to Gleaners at Harvest Fest.

“One of our main priorities is always ensuring we use the visibility and reach of our bank as a platform for neighborhood betterment. We care about more than just our customers’ financial needs; we care about their communities too. This is a great opportunity for us to give back,” says Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Amy Persyn.

First State Bank knows many in their community are also eager to make a difference. By offering collection points at each of their branches, they hope to provide a convenient spot in the heart of local communities to drop off food that may otherwise go to waste.

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook the fact that many people around us struggle with food insecurity. By collecting non-perishable food and donating it to Gleaners, an organization dedicated to addressing the food needs of Southeast Michigan, First State Bank is confident that these goods will reach those who need them most.

Please note that all donated goods must be unopened and unexpired.

First State Banks looks forward to connecting with the community at Harvest Fest on October 19 and 20.
